Hawks Cay Saltwater Experience

Hawks Cay Resort and pro anglers from Saltwater Experience team up for second annual Saltwater Experience Weekend

Duck Key, Fla.– June 25, 2014 – Television personalities and well-known anglers Captain Rich Tudor and Captain Tom Rowland, known for their popular Saltwater Experience series on NBC Sports, invite novice and seasoned anglers alike to get “hooked” at Hawks Cay Resort in the Florida Keys for the second annual Saltwater Experience Weekend, September 5-7, 2014.

The weekend-long event features exclusive access to discover the hosts’ fishing secrets right from the home base of the popular Saltwater Experience series. Situated in the lower-middle Keys on the island of Duck Key, Hawks Cay benefits from a location with boundless offshore options for both beginner and experienced fishermen. “With the marina at their doorstep, Hawks Cay provides guests easy access to everything from backcountry fishing to reef trips, and the seminars and programs at Saltwater Experience Weekend are the perfect opportunity for guests to hone their skills before getting back out onto the water,” said Tudor.

In addition to seminars by Tudor and Rowland, guests will learn about the latest gear, equipment and techniques from top industry experts. Sample seminar topics include a casting net demonstration by Captain George Campbell of Snapshot Charters, a session on using electronic charts by Navionics and more. Classroom seminars are complemented by outdoor, hands-on workshops on topics such as fly-casting, cast-netting, engine maintenance, just to name a few. Included in the weekend package is a waterfront Welcome Reception on Friday evening, with a chance to meet and mingle with Tudor and Rowland, as well as a Keys Cookout farewell dinner and the chance to win fishing-related raffle prizes worth thousands of dollars, among other great bonuses.

After the weekend’s events, anglers can put their new skills to use and rent a charter out of Hawks Cay Marina, or spend the day enjoying the resort’s amenities. With a variety of options for adults and kids, event participants can bring the whole family, taking advantage of discounted pricing for additional tickets to Saltwater Experience events or leave others to simply enjoy the five on-site pools, kids club, spa and all the other activities the resort has to offer.

Rates for the Saltwater Experience Weekend package start at $418 and include accommodations for two nights, admission for one adult to all Saltwater Experience events, welcome gifts, entry into raffles throughout the weekend and more. Additional tickets for adults and children are available at discounted prices. Tickets for those who wish to attend Saturday seminars only are available for $65 per adult or $30 per child 10 and under.
